Amman- In cooperation with the University of Jordan’s Legal Affairs Department, the Euro-Mediterranean Human Rights Monitor held a training session on the "Mock Trials as a Tool to Highlight Human Rights Issues".

 

 Held on Saturday November 18th at the UoJ’s campus in Amman, the training targeted students from the Faculty of Law to help them gain new perspective on the different means to advocate human rights issues.

 

Identifying the concept, types and purpose of mock trials, the training improve students’ skills at writing and doing oral pleadings.

The training was concluded with a group of students performing a mini-model of a mock trial.

 

Implemented in all Jordanian public and private universities, this session as well as others are a part of the Euro-Med Monitor 's work strategy for 2017, focusing on integrating more youths in the process of defending their rights and developing mechanisms for defending human rights issues in the region.
